It’s almost the end of another month, wow this year is FLYING by!

I don’t know about all my fellow readers out there, but I found January to be a surprisingly productive month. I ticked off so many things from my ever-growing to do list, and I got a new job. Yay me!

I had a fairly good reading month too, coming in with 10 finished books and 3 current reads.

I thought I’d try out something like a wrap up, but with my reading statistics because I found that stuff really interesting and I’d like to keep it going so that I have some record to look back on this time next year.

Tahereh Mafi’s latest novel was my first read of 2019 and I am so happy I chose this as the book to begin my year with. I’ve never read a Tahereh Mafi book (despite owning some of them) and if I am being honest I picked this up from my local bookstore expecting something light and easy to read, the cover and spine caught my attention and that was all I needed to convince me, but it turned out to be so much more than that.

My Personal BookTube-A-Thon/Biannual Bibliothon Combined TBR Goals.

I don’t make BookTube videos, but I didn’t think that it should hold me back from joining the challenges that happen.
It was difficult for me to pick between the two challenges that run through July, so I decided to merge the two and combine them where I can, without breaking the guidelines of each individual challenge.

What is My ‘Why’?

 I have always written my thoughts on paper, I have always conveyed my message through my art or my writing, I’ve never been much of a talker (that’s actually a lie, I’m a chatterbox, I just meant I’m not great at expressing my thoughts and feelings in spoken word). I believe that beauty can be found in everything, beautiful things are not just pretty, I find beauty in sadness, in horror, in kindness and anger, there is beauty in sound, in images, and in words. What makes something beautiful is the energy and emotion that has gone into creating it.
