Review – Disney Princess A Treasury of Enchanting Tales

“The decisions she makes reflect her tenacity and compassion, as she bravely journeys to restore the heart of Te Fiti.”

– From Moana, Disney Enterprises

I was lucky enough to receive the absolutely gorgeous copy of Disney Princess A Treasury of Enchanting Tales from Scholastic AU for review.

This book is presented in a beautiful hardcover edition with metallic embellishments on the cover, as well as the hard sleeve it comes in.

It contains 12 tales based on twelve Disney princesses including Moana, Mulan, Jasmine, Merida, Aurora, Snow White, Pochahontas, Rapunzel, Ariel, Belle, Cinderella and Tiana. This is the perfect addition to any Disney collecter’s bookshelves.

One super exciting part of this book is the end pages, which have a world map with profiles of each princess pinpointed on the map. I found it super interesting that there was the time period given to each Disney profile indicating when each princess’ story took place.

The book includes wonderful illustrations based on and inspired by the films the princesses are part of. I was very impressed with the quality of the illustrations, the page design and the way both were incorporated into each story. The tale of Moana was my favourite artistically and as a diehard Disney fan all 12 stories were full of nostalgia and I finished the book cover to cover in 30 minutes.

The stories are a brief account of what happens throughout each Disney movie, and while not incredibly detailed, are a great way to introduce little ones to the world of books and Disney.

I would definitely recommend this to all parents who have children that are falling in love with Disney themselves.
